VeenCare School of Nursing

India is undergoing a period of unprecedented social and economic change. Amongst its 1.3 billion population, economic growth has led to a rapidly expanding urban middle class. Increasing migration to the cities for work has created large urban slums lacking in basic amenities. The Indian health system is pluralistic, comprising public, private and voluntary sector facilities, of which the private sector is by far the largest provider. Health system reform is constrained however by an acute shortage of health workers at every level, especially Geriatric has been a subject that has had very little or no structured educational pathway.

VeenCare Health’s investment into VeenCare School of Nursing is to tackle its current acute shortage of Geriatric specialist nurses and scale up nursing education by offering specialist Geriatric courses to building capacity and knowledge base in this specialised area.

VeenCare School of Nursing would be a innovate evidence-based research institution with access to specialist teaching staff and exposure to International Aged Care quality standards.

When commenced, VeenCare School of Nursing will offer three main bridging courses.

  • Community Health Nursing
  • Geriatric Health Nursing
  • Mental Health Nursing

VeenCare faculty development programme will involve partnership with renowned Australian University. It will adopt a participatory approach and will develop training and support in key areas of teaching, particularly research/scholarship, leadership/management and clinical education.

At VeenCare School of Nursing we ensure our students show genuine passion and interest in "Seniors".
